The "Help Uncle Sam Stamp Out The Kaiser!" poster was drawn by Bressler Harry, around 1917, in the United States. This poster is meant to inspire the American people to buy U.S. government bonds to help the war effort during World War 1, it symbolizes America as the boot about to stomp on Kaiser Wilhelm and Germany, this gives people an initiative for buying bonds from the government, the money raised by the sales will be used to pay the soldiers, feed the soldiers, and pay for the oil and gas used by, tanks, planes, ships, cares and more. This poster is very valuable since, if original, it is considered a propaganda poster from the World War 1 era, this poster shows what America, during the early 20th century, thought about Germany and its leader, "America" or Uncle Sam's leg is shown as a giant compared to "Germany" or Wilhelm who is shown to be running away in terror with his hands up in the air showing that he wants to surrender, this is one of the only posters from this Era showing Kaiser Wilhelm as inferior compared to America, this poster would have provided a sense of bravado in the American people during the first World War . The limitation of this poster is that it is only asking the people to buy government bonds, it is not inspiring anyone to enlist and help the fight directly only indirectly and when people don't feel as if they are contributing or seeing their sacrifice pay off then they will never actually sacrifice anything.
The "As We Fight, You Work For The Victory" poster was a published in Germany, the publisher and the artist is unknown, but the poster must have been published during the years of the first World War. The purpose of this poster is to make the general public of Germany to work to produce and provide for the soldiers at war, it shows that without the people who work and produce a country cannot win a war not even if it has the strongest or the biggest army, this gives people a sense of usefulness and makes them want to work to help their soldiers, who are shown to be somewhat scared looking into the distance, maybe at the enemy, with a grenade in his hand and explosions in the background, it shows the people that working is not as bad as fighting, so they must do what they can to help the fighters. The poster is very valuable since it is from the WW1 era and it is showing what the German public was being influenced and inspired by during the first World War. The limitation of the poster is that it does show a soldier in the battlefield, he looks frightened and is possibly going to be killed by the enemy, this will discourage any young men from joining the army, thus making the army weaker and most of the time they will be outnumbered which is a huge disadvantage in war.
